2023 Sources of Funding

Largest consistent source is through our supporting membership program

Event ticket sales from a variety of paid events that brought in funds for PSMN as well as the respective event hosts

Therapy Fund created from a conference fundraiser in September 2023 (see below)

Donations large and small

2023 Expenditures

- Operational costs include fees for website hosting, meetup page, PO box, newsletter platform, contract work/staff

- Event hosting overhead includes venue rentals, event host compensation, event insurance, refreshments, event advertising

- Donations were made to local organizations to help sponsor events for the community

Below are some of the initiatives we are looking to help fundraise for to support the community.

  • Purpose of Fund: To provide funding and resources for helping out local community aid organizations

    Related Events:

6/26/22 - PSMN Community Consciousness Service Project

  • Purpose of Fund: We aim to help raise funding for local psychedelic research at the University of Minnesota by raising awareness of local opportunities to contribute to psychedelic science and research that will contribute towards the medical legalization and destigmatization of psychedelics.

Tax deductible direct donations can be made to the Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy (PATH) Fund through the University of Minnesota Donation:

  • Purpose of Fund: To have funds available for harm reduction education and training events and resources (e.g. testing kits and Naloxone training).

  • Purpose of Fund: We would like to raise enough money to rent our own space that can be a hub for our community and an event space for recurring gatherings.

  • Purpose of Fund: We aim to have funds available for community members in need of financial support for access to legal psychedelic therapy. We will help offset the costs of ketamine treatments at local clinics, or help with the costs of attending a legal ceremony outside the country.

Ketamine-assisted Psychotherapy Fund

The cost for a single person to access KAP can be upwards of $3200 for a full series of dose escalation treatments. These costs depend on several factors, including type of insurance, KAP clinic policies, and other factors. Cost shouldn't be a barrier to treatment. We have ongoing fundraising efforts to provide funding for KAP to eligible clients. Clients pursuing KAP at a local clinic in Minnesota should talk to their provider and have them reach out to us (psychedelicmn@gmail.com) to express interest in applying for these funds.
